Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The main window of the Spider RFID Reader Tool has all it's different processes in one place. We will refer to this window as 'the Dashboard'. At the top left corner, it will show the type of reader (Spider, Red Spider or SCR708) that has been connected. The buttons on the Dashboard that link to the different parts of the Spider RFID Reader Tool are also available in the rest of the app as a menu bar on the left side of the window. Apart from that it will show the Spider RFID Reader's status at the top bar.

What can I do with the Spider RFID Reader Tool?

RFID Analyzer (1)

Our RFID Analyzer will identify card types and their content. It will show you all the useful card data we can find on the card.

Output Configurator (2)

The Output Configurator will help you find the correct card output use at your site by enabling you to dry run modifications on the card UIDs.

Configuration Builder (3)

With the Configuration Builder you can 'build' a configuration and store that as a file or apply it directly to your reader.

Spider Settings (4)

The Spider Settings are persistent settings that modify the core functions of the connected card reader. They can be read from the reader, stored directly to the reader or in a file. They manage security functions, BLE functions and some other function core to the Spider RFID reader.

Config Card Creator (5)

Creates a 'Config Card', a card you can store a configuration (config) on and use it to update the configuration of one or more RFID readers.

Programmer (6)

To load configuration files or firmware directly to the RFID Reader you can use the Programmer.

Select Reader (7)

Allows you to select a different USB or Bluetooth reader.

No valid reader is currently connected

When no (valid) RFID reader (Spider, Red Spider or SCR708) is currently connected, the top bar with the yellow background and the spider web will be empty.
